We're hiring: Postdoc position in ALS disease modeling and functional imaging

The Ishihara Lab (Department of Computational and Systems Biology) and the Brent Lab (Department of Neurology) are recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate to work on a collaborative project developing high-throughput platforms for studying electrophysiological dysfunction in ALS.

The postdoc will work at the intersection of quantitative imaging, computational analysis, and stem cell-based disease modeling, using iPSC-derived human motor neurons to profile genotype-specific patterns of neuronal dysfunction and evaluate therapeutic strategies.

We are looking for candidates with:

• A PhD in neuroscience, cell biology, bioengineering, computational biology, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with fluorescence microscopy
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Experience with iPSC culture, calcium imaging, electrophysiology, or scientific programming (Python, MATLAB) is a plus.
